Powerboat Training

Our Senior Instructor, Niall MacAllister, has a lifetime of experience from training Coastguard to trainee instructors. A private course can be adapted to your own needs while covering the Irish SAiling essential training elements.

Introduction to Powerboating
Your initial introduction to driving a powerboat. 1 day. Max ratio 1 instructor : 3 trainees.

National Powerboat Certificate
This qualification can get you your ICC (International Certificate of Competency). ~Coering boat management in tight spaces, high speed, wind against tide docking, mand over board, launch and recover and much more. 2 day course. Max ratio of 1 instructor :3 trainees.

Safetyboat Certificate
Fleet management, lee shore rescue, multi vessel rescue and much more. This course ensures you can manage your boat and be in greater control when the unexpected happens. A great way to fine tune your skills. Max ratio 1 instructor : 6 tranees, with 2 boats.

Minimun age for all training is 16 if the vessel is capable of planing while fully laden.
